Curriculum

MSD Warren Township provides a variety of opportunities to ensure that we select high-quality instructional resources.

As part of the continuous improvement cycle, MSD Warren Township evaluates our curricular resource needs on a six-year cycle. The resource evaluation process engages stakeholders in examining current practices, reviewing educational research, and developing recommendations for improvement. These recommendations are used to guide curriculum development, instructional strategies, student assessment, teacher professional development, and resource adoption.

After the program evaluation process is complete, a materials adoption committee composed of parents, teachers, and administrators is formed.  This committee uses the recommendations from the program evaluation to help guide their review of instructional materials. The committee makes recommendations to the Superintendent and the School Board who approve and adopt the resources to be used in the course/subject area.

The adopted resources are the primary resources used in instruction.
