Superintendent Update

Good Afternoon, Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have some very important and timely information to share for the week of October 29th.

Enrollment Management / Redistrict Plan

MSD Warren Township is planning for the 2026–2027 school year, and we want your input! Based on feedback from our recent community engagement meetings and surveys, we’ve created Redistricting Focus Groups to take a closer look at key topics that impact our schools. I have listed below each of the focus group areas:

  • 5th Grade Transition and Experience

  • Invest in our People

  • School Start and End Times

  • Reimagining the 6th - 8th Grade Experience /6th - 8th Grade Innovation

  • School Boundaries

  • Elementary High Ability / EXCEL Program

  • Enrollment Management

We are inviting students, parents, caregivers, staff, and community members to join a Focus Group and help guide decisions that affect students across Warren Township. Meetings will be scheduled as flexible as possible, and participants are asked to attend all sessions. Please use the link below to sign up, or you can contact your child’s school. Focus groups will begin meeting in November.

For more information about the redistricting process, please visit our district webpage linked here

redistrictFederal Government Shutdown

We have been paying close attention to the Federal Government shutdown and its impact on our families and schools, particularly the potential pause of SNAP funding. While we remain hopeful that a resolution is agreed upon prior to November 1st, we are looking for additional ways we can support our families who count on these benefits. I encourage families who are impacted by this and have additional needs to reach out to your child’s family engagement liaison. Each school’s liaison is listed here on our district website.Families can also reach out or stop by our Moorhead Community Resource Center, 8400 E. Tenth Street, or email MSDWarrenoutreach@warren.k12.in.us with our questions and needs.

College Goal Sunday

Warren Seniors and Families! Mark your calendars! On Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m., students and families across Indiana are invited to take part in College Goal Sunday, the state’s largest free FAFSA filing event. FAFSA, which stands for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is the form students complete to determine their eligibility for federal and state financial aid, grants, work-study programs, and student loans. Filling out the FAFSA is one of the most important steps in making college affordable.

Whether you’re planning for college next year or just getting started, FAFSA filing experts from schools and colleges across Indiana will be on hand to provide one-on-one guidance and help you complete your FAFSA with ease and confidence.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get free, professional help, ask questions, and take an important step toward your college and career dreams. Can’t make the event? Reach out to your child’s counselor for additional support.
